ABSTRACT


Halal food product is a product that qualifies halal according to shari'ah of Islam, if a product does not fulfill halal requirement according to syari'at Islam hence the product is said to be haram.Problem formulation: 1) how implementation of BPOM supervision to circulation of imported product which does not mention label 2) What are the constraints faced by BPOM in supervising imported products that do not include halal label 3) What is the effort made by BPOM if found imported products that do not include halal label on the packaging. The type of research used in the writing of this thesis is sociological juridical. Primary data source through interview, while secondary data obtained through document study. Analysis of data obtained through qualitative methods. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: 1) the supervision done to BPOM is BPOM has conducted evaluation of safety, benefit and quality of medicine and food including all materials used before the product is circulated 2) obstacle faced by BPOM is the number of imported food products that enter Can not be handled in its entirety, due to the overwhelming terrain and the uneven distribution of the population. 3) efforts undertaken by BPOM is to look in terms of product safety both from raw materials, in terms of product legality and administrative requirements as well as auditing the determination of critical point of product halality.
