EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

 

               This research is based on the problems found in SMPN 29 Padang, that is learning is still centered on the teacher. This affects the students' mathematics learning outcomes are still low. One of the alternatives to improve student learning achievement is by applying cooperative learning model. The hypothesis in this study is the result of learning mathematics of students by applying cooperative learning model better than the result of learning mathematics students by applying the usual learning in class VII SMPN 29 Padang. This study aims to determine the results of learning mathematics students by applying cooperative learning model is better than learning mathematics students by applying regular learning in class VII SMPN 29 Padang.               This research is an experimental research using Random Sampling technique. The population in this research is the students of class VII SMPN 29 Padang consisting of 8 classes. The instrument used in this study is the test of learning outcomes.               The result of this research shows that and . Seems like  then  rejected at 95% confidence level. So it can be concluded that the results of learning mathematics students with the application of cooperative learning model as well as the results of learning mathematics students by applying regular learning in class VII SMPN 29 Padang.
