PENERAPAN METODE STUDENT FACILITATOR AND EXPLAINING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS X MULTIMEDIA SMK N 1 MERANGIN
There are several factors that cause low results of learning mathematic10 thgrade Multimedia students of SMK N 1 Merangin, including mathematical learning that is still centered on the teacher, the students are active in the learning process, most students simply copying a friend's workout.
To resolve these issues, one of the efforts that can be made is the implementation of student facilitator and explaining method. By using this method,it is expected that students can be more active in learning process and students of high ability can help his friends through discussion groups so that each group member can understand the subject matter being studied.
This type of research is experimental research.Population is a Multimedia's students of SMK N 1 Merangin 2016/2017 school year consisting of 3 classes. For sampling done by Random Sampling techniques, the chosen 10th grade Multimedia2 as a experiment class and 10th grade Multimedia 1 as control. The hypothesis in this study was the result of student learning by applying the method of student facilitator and explaining better than results of learning mathematic lesson that students apply the ekspositori method in 10thgrade Multimedia students of SMK N 1 Merangin.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of learning mathematic of students who applied the method of student facilitator and explaining is better than the results of learning mathematic students that apply the ekspositori method.Researcher suggests that teachers of mathematics can use student facilitator and explaining method as an alternative to improve the results of learning mathematic.
