IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDED NOTE TAKING STRATEGY ON LEARNING MATHEMATICS STUDENTS VII SMP NEGERI 3 PADANG
The difficulty of student in understanding math lessons makes students not really in learning, resulting in low students learning outcomes. To overcome this, one of the efforts made is to apply guided note taking strategy. With the implementation of this strategy, student are expected to have a desire to take notes and start liking math lessons. Type of reserch used is experiment. The population in this reserch is the students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Padang 2016/2017. The sample class consists of two classes the experimental class and the control class. For sample class sampling is done randomly because all classes are homogeneous. Learning activity data was obtained using an observation sheet consisting of six indicators for the experimental class and five indicators for the students activity control class. While the data of learning result is obtained by giving the final test in both sample class which consist 6 item description question. Then the test result of the students were analyzed using test. The result obtained =12,33 and db=1 with p <0.0005 for α=0.05 which means that, and decided to reject H0 and receive . So it can be concluded that the result in learning mathematics students who apply guided note taking strategy is better than the result of learning mathematics students who apply ordinary learning.
