ANALISIS HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 40 PADANG BERDASARKAN RANAH KOGNITIF TAKSONOMI BLOOM

SUMMARY

 

This event will be based on research by the low yield learning math grade  VIII  SMP Negeri  40 Padang, where most of the students under the KKM. The low student learning out comes are influenced by several factors, one of which is the  cognitive abilities of students. Where cognitive ability consists of 6  levels  are remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating.

The purpose of this research is conducted are : to describe the level of the results of learning math grade VIII SMP Negeri 40 Padang. The research questions are: 1) How percentage the results of  learning math grade VIII SMP Negeri 40 Padang  who have achieved a level of remembering, understanding, applying and analyzing based on cognitive domain Taxonomy Bloom. 2) are at a level where the dominant student learning outcomes. 3) what are the factors that influence student learning outcomes cognitive level.

Type of this research is descriptive research and qualitative research methods. The population of the research was the whole grade VIII SMP Negeri 40 Padang. Sampling usinga purposive sampling technique, and elected class VIII3 as research samples. Research instrument in the form of test results and interviews.

The results of this research show that students who meet the stage of 77% for Remember, 79% for Understand, 69% for Apply and 27% for Analyze, factors that influence cognitive level students i.e. students are not conscientious while reading and understanding the problem given, students still difficulty in applying the formula to be used in problem solving, students are still difficult to understand the intent of the question is given.

Based on the results of the study, the researchers suggest teachers should be able to design a study that may help improve cognitive ability and student learning outcomes. As well as for further research can try to use a method or model of learning that can help improve student learning outcomes.
