PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE CARD SORT DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 PADANG

SUMMARY

 Most of the results of learning mathematics students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Padang still under the KKM, one of them caused by the lack of activities that students do in the learning process. To overcome this, one of the efforts made is to apply the active learning strategy Card Sort type.Type of research used is experiment. The population in this research is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Padang in the academic year 2016/2017 consisting of eight classes. The sample in this research is class VIII7 as control class and class VIII8 asexperiment class. Learning activity data were obtained from an observation sheet consisting of six experimental class indicators and five control class indicators. Student learning activities in the experimental class and control class in general tend to increase. While the learning result data obtained by giving the final test on the two sample classes consisting of eight items of description. Then the result of student learning test is analyzed by using chi-square test (). Obtained = 4,06 and db = 1 with 0,01 <p <0,025 because in this research use á = 0,05 then p <0,05 means acceptable.It can be concluded that the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning applyCard Sort type active strategy is higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics learning using ordinary learning.
