PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TEKNIK BERTUKAR PASANGAN PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 1 PERANAP

This research stems from the fact that the learning that takes place is still centered on the teacher, in which students are just waiting to hear the explanation given and teachers, then students are not accustomed to solve a math problem with a friend to be able to exchange ideas, then this is a negative impact on learning outcomes mathematics students. One effort that can be done by implementing cooperative learning with Couple Exchanging Technique.  The purpose of this study was to determine whether students' mathematics learning outcomes after implementing cooperative learning technique is better than the pair exchanging mathematics learning outcomes of students who apply conventional learning in class VII SMPN1 Peranap. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were students of class VII SMPN 1 Peranap school year 2012/2013. The sample was selected at random and are selected as the experimental class VII1 class and the class as a class VII4 control. The instrument used is the achievement test. Analysis of student learning outcomes data obtained tcount = 2,8635 and ttable = 2,00. Because tcount> ttable, the hypothesis is accepted. So it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students with learning implementing cooperative learning technique is better than the pair exchanging learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying conventional learning.
