Abstract

The purpose of this result is to describe the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at school “X” and how the teachers organize their job. By using qualitative approach, there was none instrument but me, myself as researcher. As the informant key, religious teachers were involved, and headmaster, other subject teachers and students were involved as additional informant by applying snowball sampling technique. As first finding, the process of learning IRE ran fairly and has not been professionally helped. Most method used was only classroom talks by teachers, discussion, and giving the students exercises, whereas other method was rarely implemented. Second, the learning process also has not been supported by suitable media. Third, it seemed that the learning process was dominated by teachers only (teacher-centered), not by students (student-centered).
