PERANAN GURU SEKOLAH DASAR DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS DIERA GLOBALISASI

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the role of primary school teachers in developing the character values in the learning ips era of globalization. Elementary school teacher is the best teacher role in the development of the character of children aged 6 months to 12 years. Teachers should prepare learners character, in accordance with the national culture in the face of current golobalisasi. Globalization benefit society on the one hand, but on the other hand also can erode local cultures and can reduce learners' understanding of the traditional values. Development of character values can be developed through learning, one of which is through learning IPS. Learning IPS Has an important role in preparing students to understand their role, understand their rights and obligations as well as responsible as citizens of Indonesia. Each IPS material in elementary school have a moral message for the character development of students. Through the messages contained in the IPS material is expected function of national education can be implemented properly.
