Abstract

The purpose of this research was conducted to determine the provisions of the character of Elementary School Teachers in Islam and know implementation in the life of the School. The method used in this research is a research library, where researchers examined a variety of literature related to character education Elementary School Teachers. The teachings of Islam governs all aspects of human life as a teacher in all its dimensions both physical and spiritual dimensions and also related to character education teachers themselves.Character Education is synonymous with education morals, so the educational character of the values of the behavior of the teacher as a human being, covering the activities of teachers in elementary school, teacher relationship among teachers, teacher relationship with the environment, such as: thoughts, attitudes, feelings, words, and actions based Islam norms, law, manners, culture, and customs. Character education is a system of cultivation of character values to the school community, which includes knowledge, awareness or willpower, and actions to implement these values.Character education in schools, should involve all components (education stakeholders), namely the content of the curriculum, learning and assessment, treatment or management of subjects, school management, the implementation of activities or co-curricular activities, empowerment of infrastructure, financing, and the ethos of work throughout Elementary school community. In addition, character education is defined as a behavior of teachers in education must be characterized and their implications in school life can be realized.
