Abstract

This research is motivated by a less satisfying process quality and learning outcomes Civics Study Program Elementary School Teacher (PGSD) FKIP Bung Hatta University, particularly in the first Class A 2015/2016. Therefore, this study aims to improve the quality of the learning process and the result of the method in a class action (class room action research) as quantitatively. The results of the analysis show that the used of Model STAD Cooperative Method in class IA PGSD FKIP Bung Hatta University tend to improve process quality and learning outcomes Civics, where the effectiveness of the quality process is a very high 47.1%, high 30.4%, moderate 18.6%, and lower 3.9%. Meanwhile, the quality of the learning results showed that the average achievement of learning outcomes of the group is 81.1, while the achievements of individual achievement only lower 5.9%. and lower 94.1%., with the distribution category mastery of concepts is very high at 11.8%, high 11.8%, was 9.4%, and 5.9% Low.
