SUMMARY

Small and medium-sized industries play an important role in fostering overall economic growth. The development of industry, especially small industry in the direction can be one of the qualified enough role in the economy, so as to be able to compete within and outside the country.

In addition, industrial development aims to develop the potential of existing resources and owned, and the ability to survive in the worst economic conditions though. The more convincing the need for these sub-sectors to be developed and in the supporting auxiliary climate. It is the duty of the government to provide guidance, even the initiative in the effort to create this climate.

The purpose of this research is to analyze and to know the influence of the number of small industry, labor and investment to small industry production in Solok Regency. This research is conducted by using time series analysis model which is processed using Eviews program rock.

The results showed that the number of small industries and labor has a positive and significant effect on the production of small industries in Solok District, while investment does not significantly affect the production of small industries in Solok Regency.
