EFFECT OF GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURES, INVESTMENT AND WORK FORCE ON ECONOMIC GROWTH OF KABUPATEN AGAM

SUMMARY

Kabupaten Agam is a regency located on a strategic road through which cross road means the Regency has implications for the need to boost economic competitiveness by utilizing geographical advantage. The economic growth of Kabupaten Agam is of course also supported by the growth of the sectors in the area, the level of economic growth in various sectors varies considerably because there is an increase and some are decreasing compared to the previous year.

This study examines the effect of government spending, investment and workforce on the economic growth of Kabupaten Agam . This study used time series from 1997-2016 and used multiple linear regression analysis tool to find out the magnitude of independent variable to dependent variable by using classical assumption test and hypothesis testing.

The results of this study indicate that government expenditures have a significant and positive effect on the economic growth of Kabupaten Agam , the investment has a significant effect and positively related to the economic growth of Kabupaten Agam  and the workforce has no significant effect and negatively related to the economic growth of Kabupaten Agam.

Workforce has no significant effect and is negatively related to the lack of sample in research and workforce data in Kabupaten Agam is not fully publicized.
