INFLUENCE THE OCCUPANCY RATE OF THE HOTEL, TOTAL TRAVELERS, AND TOTAL OBJECT TOURS TO REVENUE TOURISM SECTORS IN PADANG CITY

Successful development of the tourism sector means increasing it’s role in regional revenue,where tourism is the main component by taking into account also the factors that influences it, such as: the number of attractions offered, the number of tourists visiting both domestic and international and hotel occupancy rates.

The main obstacle faced by Padang City in developing the Tourism Sector is the lack of infrastructure supporting the development of Tourism sector in Padang City such as hotel occupancy rate, road facilities to takeover of community land to be used as Tourism Sector
.The problem is certainly a homework for the Government of Padang City.  The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the number tourists visit, the number of attractions, and the occupancy rate of the hotel to the regional income  of the tourism sector in the City Of Padang.

The method of data analysis used in this study is by the method of multiple Regression Analysis Using SPSS version 16. The Calculation of adjusted R square value of 0.842 which means that the income of tourism sector  in Padang City can be explained by the model variation of hotel occupancy rate, the number of attractions is 84.20% and the remaining 15.80% is explained by other variables outside the model.
