ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING THE FISHERMEN IN THE CITY OF INCOME PADANG (Case Study In Community Fishing In Ulak Karang Padang)

Abstract

Most communities identified Ulak Karang Padang living below the poverty line, it is characterized by low incomes. The low income of fishermen due to the instability of the results obtained by fishermen catch fish, these factors are supported by facilities and inadequate infrastructure, climate, up to the middlemen who buy the catch of fishermen with a relatively low budget.

Analysis of the date used for this study using multiple linear regression analysis method. Using partial test (t test), simultaneous test (F test) and test the coefficient of determination (R2). Classical assumption test with test multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroskidastity. The date used in the study is for fish, education level, number of dependents, employment (Dummy variable), and revenue fishermen.

The results showed that the variable price fish had a positive effect and significant impact on revenue fishermen, while education, number of dependents, and employment has a negative influence and not significant to revenue of fishermen in Ulak Karang Padang.
