THE EFFECT OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT, JOB SATISFACTION AND PERSONALITY TYPE A TO DISCIPLINE EMPLOYEES (A CASE STUDY OF BANK SYARIAH MANDIRI BRANCH PADANG

Abstract

Bank Syariah Mandiri is one of the Islamic banking services are very reliable and the choice
of business partners in Indonesia, especially in the city of Padang Padang city because the majority
of people are Muslim and they prefer to use the services of Islamic banking in comparison to
conventional banking services. This study aimed to determine the effect of the work environment,
job satisfaction and personality type A to discipline employees (A Case Study of Bank Syariah
Mandiri Branch Padang). The samples in this study were all permanent employees, outsourcing
contract and Bank Syariah Mandiri branch outside Padang security, driver and office boy,
amounting to 49 people. Sampling technique is the method of census. Types of data used are
primary data through questionnaires. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression
analysis. Hypothesis testing using t-test statistics test to prove the effect of independent variables on
the dependent variable is the partial or individual.
Results of this study found that the work environment has a positive effect on employee
discipline at Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Padang, job satisfaction is not a positive influence on the
discipline of employees at Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Padang and personality type A positive
influence on the discipline of employees at Bank Syariah Mandiri Branch Padang
