ANALISIS KETERKAITAN SEKTOR PETANIAN TEHADAP PENDAPATAN PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT (PENDEKATAN INPUT-OUTPUT)

Abstract

The agricultural sector is an important sector in West Sumatra because more than 50% of the population works in the agricultural sector. West Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has the best rice producing potential in Indonesia, but the large number of conversions of rice fields to other uses has caused the West Sumatra region to experience a decrease in land area from year to year. This study uses the Input-Output Analysis method, which is a form of inter-sectoral analysis by analyzing transactions of goods and services between sectors. The input structure used by each sector in the production process, both in the form of intermediate and primary inputs, can be seen from the numbers along the I-O Table column. The entries along the I-O table rows show the allocation of output produced by a sector to meet intermediate and final demand. This study aims to determine the backward linkage and forward linkage and determine the leading sectors (Key Sector) of agriculture in West Sumatra. The results of this study: the leading agricultural sector, meaning the forward linkage and backward linkage values are >1. These sectors are rice, corn, tuber crops, peanuts, legumes, rubber, palm oil, coffee, sweet leather and chocolate.
