THE INFLUENCE OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, WORKING MOTIVATION, LEADER STYLE, AND COMPETENCE TOWARD LECTURERS’ PERFORMANCE OF UNIVERSITY IN PADANG CITY

Abstract

University is a higher education institution and research which provide academic title in various field, in order to produce a quality graduate, it needs professional lecturer in create teaching and learning to the students and enable to provide optimal performance for university. There are several factors that should be concerned to improve the lecturers’ performance for example organizational culture, working organization, leader style and competence. For that reason it requires a research aims to examine the influence of organizational culture, working motivation, leader style, and competence toward lecturers’ performance of University in Padang City.

Population of this research was 10 universities were in Padang city. Technique of taking sample in this research used simple random sampling with 97 respondents. The examining of hypothesis test used multiple linear regression analysis for knowing the influence among independent variable. The result of hypothesis test showed the first variable, organizational culture did not influence in improving lecturers’ performance, while working motivation, leader style, and competence showed that there are significant influence in improving lecturers’ performance.
