Abstract

The learning process in higher eduction instution (HEI) has become hot issues currently. The more important issue disccussed is stress among the student. However, study about student’s stress in private higher education is still lack, especially in HEI west sumatra, Indonesia. Therefore, this study propose to determine whether the learning behavior, self-efficacy, emotional intelegency, and spritual intellency singificantly affect the learning stress. The entity theory of personality used as a premise to underpin the relationship. By using the quistioner, this study survey 150 respondents who study in private higher education institution in Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia. The multivariate regression, we find that the learning behavior, self-efficacy, emotional intelegency have a significant effect on the learning stress. This study has a practical and theoritical implications. In addition, this study also offer avenues for future research.
