ANALISIS PENGARUH UPAH MINIMUM PROVINSI (UMP) DAN OUTPUT TERHADAP PERMINTAAN TENAGA KERJA DI SEKTOR INDUSTRI MANUFAKTUR SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of province minimum wage and output towards labor demand in manufacturing industries in West Sumatera. This reseach is motivated by labor problem in West Sumatera especially unemployment problem. This reseach used multiple linear regression method. Data has used in this research get from Central Agency on Statistic West Sumatera, time series data start from 1997-2012. According to the result of simultaneous test (F test), indicating that province minimum wage and output has insignificant effect on labor demand. While the partial test result (t test), indicate both of variabel province minimum wage and output insignificant effect on labor demand in manufacturing industries in West Sumatera.
