Abstract

To reach that goal, a company ought to encourage all of its organization members to improve their individual performance. Otherwise, company might lose its existence. One company that might get great risk of losing its existence is bank. Therefore, this research is aimed to analyze factors that influence individual performance of the employee working in accounting field in certain banks in Bukittinggi. Independent variables used in this research are self-esteem, self-efficacy, and the dependent variable is individual performance. The data were collected by distributing 100 questionnaires throughout the banks in Bukitinggi. However, only 85 questionnaires returned. Hypotheses were examined using multiple regression and t-statistic. The result shows that self-esteem and self-efficacy did not affect significantly on the individual performance of accounting department. In fact, it shows that job-satisfaction gave significant effect on the individual performance of accounting department at several general banks in Bukitinggi.
