ANALISIS PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DAN SEKTOR BASIS DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

As an emerging area, Padang rely on a variety of potential and existing resources as the main source of income. The lack of skilled human resources, limited capital and diversity of potential and available resources , a major obstacle in the implementation of economic development in the city of Padang. Hence the need for a solution to carry out development in the city of Padang. One way to run the development is to determine the base sector can develop quickly and stimulate the growth of other sectors to build the economy of Padang. The purpose of this study was Identify and analyze the sector whatever the sector base in Padang via classification in the year 2008-2012. The method used in this study is LQ, Growth Ratio Analysis Model ( GRM ). The result of this study is that the sector is a sector basis transport and communications sector, financial sector, leasing and business services, electricity, gas and water supply, manufacturing and trade, hotels and restaurants, while the construction and analysis of the financial sector GRM, leasing and business services sector potential is either at the provincial level and at the level of Padang because it has a prominent growth compared to other economic sectors.
