PENGARUH KEBINGUNGAN PADA ATURAN DAN KEMUDAHAN PENGGUNA ATURAN TERHADAP KINERJA, PENGGUNAAN ATURAN SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING

Abstract

Individual performance is an important factor affecting the organizational performance. individual performance in sector public has become an issue due to the low level of this performance and therefore, being discussed among practictioners and academics. Thus, this study examine performance of local government officials in Muaro Tebo District, Jambi Province. Variables used in thisresearch are ease of  rules and rule confusion as independent variables, the use of the rule as an intervening variable and individual performance  as the dependent variable. The data used here is primary data collected through questionnaires. Analysis technique is simple, multiple and hirarycalregression using SPSS 20. The result of regression analysis show that rule confusion do not affect the performance through the use of rules. However, use of rule mediated the relationship between ease of rules and job performance This study has practical implication in the sense that the government of Muaro Tebo can use this findings to improve the individual performance by increase the ease of rule and decrease the rule confusion.
