PARTISIPASI TENAGA KERJA WANITA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN KELUARGA DI PASAR RAYA MUARALABUH KABUPATEN SOLOK SELATAN

Abstract

Womenparticipatein the labor force, in generalusuallycompelled toearn a livingbecause ofthe demands offamilyeconomy. When thehusband's incomecan notmeetthe growingneeds of families, womenparticipatedinthe labor force toincreasefamily income. Participation of women can be seenfrom the number ofhours workedisnotparticipating(not working) thathavezeronumber of hours workedandparticipated(work) that has a numberof working hoursvary. The survey results revealed that the number of dependents and income husbands significant negative effect, while variable household spending significant positive effect on the labor force participation of women in raising family income in Pasar Raya Muaralabuh South Solok.
