Abstract

ABSTRACT
Price to book value or PBV is a ratio used to measure stock market performance
against its book value. Good company generally has a PBV ratio above one, which indicates
that the stock market value is greater than the book value of the company. This research have
as a purpose examine the effect of retun on equity (ROE), debt to equity ratio (DER), firm
size, growth, and insider ownership on price to book value (PBV). The research sample is a
chemical company which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) 2011-2014 which
amounted to 10 companies using census. The data analysis technique used in this research is
multiple regression analysis with Eviews where previous data was tested with the classical
assumption. The results showed a return on equity (ROE), debt to equity ratio (DER), growth,
and insider ownership no effect on price to book value (PBV), while firm size negative effect
on the price to book value (PBV).
