Abstract

This study purpose to analyze and demonstrate empirically the influence of leadership style on job satisfaction through work motivation as an intervening variable. In this study, the sample is 153 employees manufacturing company operating in West Sumatra. The type of data used are primary data. In this study grouped three categories of variables. The first dependent variable is job satisfaction. The second independent variable is the style of leadership and the third is the motivation to work. To perform hypothesis testing conducted by multilevel regression models. The test results showed that leadership style has no significant effect on job satisfaction of employees of manufacturing companies in West Sumatra. Leadership style does not significantly influence employee motivation manufacturing company in West Sumatra. Motivation significant effect on job satisfaction of employees of manufacturing companies in West Sumatra. Style of leadership with motivation as an intervening variable has no significant effect on job satisfaction of employees of manufacturing companies in West Sumatra
