Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the level of the money supply, GDP, interest rates and the exchange rate to inflation in Indonesia. This research is based on the problem of inflation is rising prices continuously so as to be weakening purchasing power that will impact on the national income. Therefore, it is expected the inflation rate control chart that shows the increase. This study uses multiple linear analysis. Data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Sumatra (CPM) and Financial Indonesia BI, such as large-scale series (time series) from 1999-2013. Results of the partial test (t test), showing three variables GDP, interest rates, and exchange rates have a significant effect on inflation in Indonesia. While the variable of money supply no significant effect on inflation in Indonesia. Results of simultaneous test (F test), showed that the variable of money supply, gross domestic product, interest rates and the exchange rate together a significant effect on inflation.
