ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMIC STRUCTURE OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN PADANG CITY

Abstract

Economic growth is growth rate be formed from kind of economic sector wich indirect to descriptive of growth rate as important indicator for the regions to evaluate the success of economic development. Economic development of regions is a process from regions government and component of society to process variety of resources and be formed a partnership for creating businesses and stimulate of economic growth of regional, so will materialize structural transformation of economic sector. Indicator of superior sector that areimportant element of reginal development planning can to giving indicator for economy in national and regional.

            This research aims to knowled of economy structure and calssification superior sector ind Padang City. Data used on this research is secondary data in period of 2010 – 2014 there are some 17 sector , the sourced from BPS of Province West Sumatera, BPS of Padang City, BAPPEDA of Padang City and other related resources. The analysis methods used in the research is Shift Share method and Tipology Klassen method. The resul analysis is showed that contruction sector and transportation and warehousing sector has competitive and the classification sector the most high compared with another.
