ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN OBJEK WISATA GOA MBAH SURO DI KOTA SAWAHLUNTO

Abstract

Attractions Goa Mbah Suro is a famous historical tourist attraction in West Sumatra. But
the development of this attraction is still stalled. The purpose of this study is to formulate
appropriate development strategies to be implemented in Goa Mbah Suro attraction with a SWOT
analysis. By analyzing the internal factors are the strengths and weakness, as well as external
factors which consist of opportunities and threats. Data collection method is to use primary and
secondary data. The results of this study the main potential possessed this attraction is the
scenery beautiful, the air is cool and still beautiful. the weakness of this attraction is really the
lack of promotion of Goa Mbah Suro travel. Opportunities this attraction which is one of the most
visited tourist destinations in Sawahlunto people. However, the threat of this attraction is the
presence of harmful gas content in Goa Mbah Suro. It can be concluded that the appropriate
strategy for the development of this attraction is that strategies WO strategies to minimize
weaknesses and seize opportunities.
