EFFECT OF APPLICATION OF BALANCED SCORECARD PERFORMANCE MANAGERIAL

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of balanced scorecard on managerial performance. Data obtained in the form of primary data from the insurance company that has been using the balanced scorecard in the city of Padang. As for the sample of this research is a mid-level manager (mid manager). The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Test the quality of data used in this study using validity and reliability test. Statistical method used is multiple linear regression. As for testing the hypothesis in this study using coefficient determination test, F test, t test. The results of this study can be seen that the variable balanced scorecard perspectives namely financial perspective, internal business process perspective, and learning and growth perspective effect on managerial performance. The test results showed the value of the coefficient of determination R Square of 37.4% while the remaining 62.6% is influenced by other variables outside the study variables.
