ANALISIS EKSPOR CPO INDONESIA (PENDEKATAN: REVEALED COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE DAN INDEKS SPESIALISASI PERDAGANGAN)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparative and competitive advantages CPO Indonesia compared with competitor countries the period 2005 - 2014. The analysis used in this study is the RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage) and ISP (Trade Specialization Index). The results show that the average value of the RCA for 10 years (2005-2014) amounted to 2,891 or index RCA> 1, which means that the state of Indonesia's crude palm oil has a comparative advantage are above the world average. While the results of the calculation of the ISP that the state of Indonesia's crude palm oil has a competitive advantage with the average value of 0.9953 or ISP +1. With the results of the analysis of the RCA and the ISP can be concluded that Indonesia is able to compete and excel in commodity exports of crude palm oil (CPO) in the international market, because palm oil is one of the mainstay commodity that can help the Indonesian economy and a source of foreign exchange revenue, but it also palm oil is a food source for the people of Indonesia, as the raw material of cooking oil industry.
