Abstract

Indonesia is one of the developing countries that utilize foreign loans for development. This study aims to determine how the effect of government spending, economic growth (GDP) of Indonesia, national income, budget deficits and the level of international interest rate (SIBOR) to fluctuations in foreign loans Indonesia. The data used in this research is time series from 1991 to 2015, while the data used were obtained from various sources such as Bank Indonesia, the Central Bureau of Statistics, the World Bank, and the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia. Hypothesis test used in this study is multiple linear regression test with the analysis in the model using OLS (Ordinary Least Squares). The results showed that only three independent variables that significantly influence the foreign loans that government expenditure, revenue and GDP. While variable budget deficit and the level of international interest rate (SIBOR) has no effect on foreign loans.
