Mangrove forests are forests that grow in brackish water. Mangroves are affected by tides. Criminal acts of damage to mangrove forests are regulated in Law Number 27 of 2007 Article 73 letter (b) concerning Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands. As a result of tourism development in the Mandeh region, there was destruction of mangrove forests. The amount of mangrove forest remaining in the Nyalo Mudik Aia River in the Mandeh region is approximately 1,230M3. Problem Formulation (1) How is the implementation of law enforcement against criminal acts of destruction of mangrove forests in the mandeh area by the Environmental Service of Pesisir Selatan Regency? (2) What are the obstacles faced by the Environmental Agency of the South Pesisir Regency in enforcing the law against criminal acts of destruction of mangrove forests in the Mandeh region? This study used a socio-legal approach. Data sources used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Data was collected by interview and document study, and then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the research, it was concluded that: (1) Law Enforcement of the Environmental Service against damage to mangrove forests in the South Coast conducts Supervision, conducts mediation, imposes administrative sanctions. (2) The Environmental Service experienced several obstacles, including: a. lack of human resources, such as the absence of Civil Servant Investigators b. lack of infrastructure facilities c. the amount of budget for law enforcement is limited. d. The level of community awareness of the environment is very low.
