IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTHORITY OF TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT AGENCY IN SUPERVISION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTION THAT CARRYING GOODS IN WEST PASAMAN DISTRICT
Abstract
Transportation is a transportation that uses a machine that is useful for transporting people/goods from a certain place to other certain places, in order to facilitate a community or company activity and also as a support for community income, and can not be separated also from the income of the area. The formulation of the problem in this research is (1) How is the technique of supervision and security of public transportation that transports goods in West Pasaman Regency? (2) What obstacles are faced by the Department Agency of Transportation in supervising public transport that transports goods? (3) Are the efforts made by the Department Agency of Transportation in the supervision of public transportation that transport goods that violate the procedures for loading, carry capacity, vehicle dimensions, and road class? This type of research uses a sociological juridical approach. Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques include interviews and document studies. Data analyzed qualitatively. The research results are (1) Implementation of supervision is carried out by the Police and the Transportation Department Agency. (2) The obstacle faced by the Department Agency of Transportation is the lack of existing weighing bridges to carry out supervision of transportation in the examination of transportation on the road. (3) Efforts made by the Department Agency of Transportation are to go down the field and follow up on transportation that violates existing regulations.
