Abstract

ABSTRACT

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Behavior (LGBT), is a deviant behavior that unsettles the community, including in Kota Pariaman. To overcome this behavior, it is regulated in Article 25 of Regional Regulation Number 10 of 2018 concerning Peace and Public Order. This Regional Regulation was made because of the deterioration of the City of Pariaman, which upholds the tradition of Basandi Syarak Syarak Basandi Kitabullah. Because there was an incident on February 4, 2018, the City of Pariaman municipal police had received a report from the public about LGBT behavior committed by an ASN person with the initial S (37) with his male partner FM (21). Formulation of the problem: (1) What is the effort of the Pariaman City Satpol PP in tackling LGBT behavior? (2) What are the obstacles faced by Pariaman City Satpol PP in overcoming LGBT behavior? This type of research is sociological juridical research. Data sources are primer and secondary. Interview data collection techniques and document study. Data were analyzed qualitatively. Conclusions of the results of the study: (1) The efforts of the Pariaman City Satpol PP in overcoming LGBT behavior are preventive and repressive. (2) Obstacles faced by the City Police Pariaman Satpol PP in eradicating LGBT is because the suspect's own family rarely informs about the bad family members.
