Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

Actors selling meat products that do not meet food safety standards by falsifying animal products can cause health problems for those who eat them. As regulated in Article 140, Article 86 paragraph (2) Jo Article 1 number 5 of Law 18 of 2012 concerning Food. The Padang resort police police have confiscated pork satay sold by BS. Problem Formulation are (1) How is law enforcement by the Padang City Police Resort Criminal Investigation of  law enforcement against the perpetrators of meat product sellers who do not meet food safety standards by falsifying animal products? (2) What are the obstacles faced by the Padang City Police Resort(Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) in enforcing the law against the perpetrators of meat product sellers who do not meet food safety standards by falsifying animal products? This type of research is socio legal. Data sources used  primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques are done by interviews and document studies, the data are analyzed qualitatively. Conclusions from the rescure  of the study (1) Law enforcement by the Padang City Police Department against the criminal act of selling meat products that do not meet safety standards by falsifying animal products (a). there are reports, investigations, investigations, filings, and case transfers. (2) Constraints of the Padang City Resort Police Secretariat in enforcing safety standards that falsify animal products (a) internal constraints, namely lack of scrutiny of investigators by not detaining perpetrators. (b) external constraints, namely the community cannot distinguish between halal meat, so it is too late to report criminal events, limited labor and not a coordinating suspect.
