Abstract

Sirri marriage is defined as a marriage that is closed, unknown to many people, not registered at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), not before a Marriage Registrar (PPN) as regulated by law, attended by relatives only with a few neighbors, sometimes inviting a cleric / scholars' to be more member abash nuances in the marriage. Problem formulation (1) What are the reasons that cause sirri marriage in Air Rau Village, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency? (2) What is the community's view of sirri marriage in Air Rau Village, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency? (3) What are the consequences law arising from the Sirri marriage in Air Rau Kinali Village, West Pasaman Regency? The research method used is sociological law. The main data is primary data. Data collection techniques are interviews and document studies. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively. From the results of the study it can be concluded that; (1) Reasons for the occurrence of Sirri marriages, one of which is underage, not getting permission from the previous wife, lack of community understanding of marriage registration, being responsible for pregnancy outside marriage (2) The public's view of Sirri marriage is agree and disagree, ( 3) The legal consequences arising are the position of his wife, children, wealth.
