Abstract

Article 60 of Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management, which states that the government is responsible for managing disaster management and protecting health rights. As a result of forest and land fires in Bungo District, air quality has decreased, this condition is evidenced by the calculation of the Air Pollutant Standard Index (ISPU) at the Bungo Regency Environmental Service (LH) showing the number 202 which is in the very unhealthy category. Formulation of the problem: 1. What is the responsibility of the Environment Agency in the case of forests and land as a manifestation of human rights protection in Bungo District. 2. What are the factors causing forest and land fires in Bungo District. 3. What is the effort made by the Environment Agency in the case of forest and land fires in Bungo District. Sociological juridical research methods, using primary data. Conclusions: 1. The responsibility of the Environmental Agency in cases of forest and land fires as a manifestation of human rights protection in Bungo District is to supervise and impose administrative sanctions. 2. The factors causing forest and land fires in Bungo District are heat and the source of the fire comes from natural factors. 3. Efforts made by the Environmental Service in the case of forest and land fires in Bungo Regency include patrolling forest and land fire prevention, graund check hotspots, installing signs, ordering fire-care communities (MPA), extinguishing forest and land fires and taking action against forest system actors and land in Bungo Regency.
