PERAN RUTAN SAWAHLUNTO DALAM USAHA REVITALISASI KREATIFITAS SENI SEBAGAI BEKAL NARAPIDANA UNTUK MENCEGAH TERJADINYA RESIDIF

Abstract

The rights of assisted citizens to get education and teaching are regulated in Article 14 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 12 of 1995 concerning Corrections. The benefits of the arts that are carried out and taught in the Sawahlunto Detention Center are so that the inmates who later leave the Sawahlunto City State Detention Center can get back up to live a decent life by making this art an endeavor. Formulation of the problem: 1) What is the role of the Sawahlunto Rutan in the effort to revitalize artistic creativity as a provision for prisoners to prevent recidivists? 2) What are the obstacles faced by the Sawahlunto Rutan in an effort to revitalize artistic creativity as a provision for prisoners to prevent recidivists? Types of sociological legal research. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The data collection technique was done by interview and document study, the data were analyzed qualitatively. The conclusions of the research results: 1) The role of the Sawahlunto Prison in an effort to revitalize artistic creativity as a provision for prisoners to prevent residual activities is to revive the arts that previously existed in the Sawahlunto Detention Center, but were lost. 2) The obstacle faced by the Sawahlunto Prison in trying to revitalize artistic creativity as a provision for prisoners to prevent residency is due to the busyness of officers in official affairs so that they cannot properly oversee the course of artistic creativity.
