Abstract

Rental car rental activities among the community have become an activity in a particular interest that occurs, both individuals and companies. However, in the lease agreement, there are times when default of the tenant to the owner of Nobirentcar in the car rental agreement in the city of padang. Problem formulation 1) What is the form of default of the tenant to the owner of Nobirentcar in the car rental agreement in Padang City. 2) How is the settlement when the tenant defaults to the owner of Nobirentcar in the car rental agreement in Padang City. This research uses a sociological juridical (socio-legal) approach to obtain primary data. Data collection techniques are interview, document study and direct data analysis. The conclusion of the study, 1) The form of default made by the tenant to the owner of Nobirentcar is that the tenant is late in returning the car, pawning the rented car and there is damage to the rented car. 2) Settlement of tenant defaults is carried out amicably, pays a fine and asks the tenant to make up for the car that was pawned to a third party and repair damage to the rented car.
