Abstract

There are many problems that occur in the process of shipping goods, one of which is damage to goods due to negligence of PT.J&T Express Padang. This type of research is sociological juridical. The data collection technique was obtained through interviews and analyzed qualitatively. The responsibility of J&T Express is regulated in the 7th point of the Standard Clause, which is for uninsured goods the maximum replacement cost is 10x the shipping cost, for documents the maximum is Rp.100,000. The insured item has a maximum replacement cost of Rp.20,000,000.-, for documents, a maximum of Rp.2,000,000.-. The settlement efforts used by J&T Express in solving problems by prioritizing settlement of disputes outside the court in amicable manner through deliberation and negotiation.
