Legal protection for the position of a notary is regulated in Article 66 of the UUJN. Authentic deed made by a notary who is a public official who has the authority to make it. Deed is a written agreement made before a notary. Authentic deeds can be strong evidence in proving a legal dispute. Therefore, the legal protection of notaries for authentic deeds made before them is for those who are illiterate or cannot read and write, it is recommended that such persons be accompanied by an identifying witness or their family. The legal consequence of authentic deeds is that authentic deeds made before a notary must meet formal and material requirements. If these two conditions are fulfilled, the authentic deed that has been signed by the parties will not be canceled or canceled by law even though the person is illiterate or cannot read and write.References
