Abstract

Freedom of speech is a right for all people in a democratic country. The legal basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia year 1945 Article 28E Paragraph (3), and 28F and Law No. 39 of 1999 Article 23 Paragraph (2). Approach using Normative Law, data source: primary data, secondary data. Data collection techniques, document studies, journals, data browsing over the internet. Conclusion 1) Provisions for the protection of free speech through social media based on Law No. 19 of 2016 do not get protection in this regulation 2) In the decision reviewed there is no human rights protection.
