KOORDINASI KERJA PERUSAHAAN LISTRIK NEGARA (PLN) DAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM MEMBERANTAS TINDAK PIDANA PENCURIAN LISTRIK DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

In carrying out security of installations and assets as well asaction against electricity theft and criminal acts in the scope of PLN, there is cooperation between PLN and the Police according to the Memorandum Memorandum of Understanding (PLN) Number: 012.MOU / 040/2011 and (Police) Number: B / 25 / X / 2011 in order to improve the implementation of security, coordination and enforcement of matters relating to assets, installations and electricity operations. Problem Formulation 1) How is the Work Coordination of PLN and the Police in Eradicating the Crime of Electricity Theft in Padang City? 2) What are the obstacles faced by PLN and the Police in Eradicating the Crime of Electricity Theft in Padang City? Sources of data consist of primary data and secondary data. Data were collected by interview and document study. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively. Conclusion of research results 1) The current coordination between PLN and the Police is limited to securing assets and assisting operational security in certain places. 2) The obstacle in eradicating the crime of electric current theft is the lack of supervision carried out on consumers, unscrupulous officers who help consumers in the theft of electricity.
