UPAYA NON PENAL OLEH POLRESTA PADANG DALAM MENANGGULANGI TINDAK PIDANA PEMALSUAN UANG

Abstract

Money has a strategic role in the economy of a country. Although currently expanding the use of electronic transactions, but does not reduce the importance of cash transactions. The importance of the role that money has to grow human desire to have as much money and it is not uncommon for ways to earn money done unlawfully. Issues raised in this study were (1) How non penal efforts made by the government to tackle crime counterfeit money? (2) How is the public response to the non-penal efforts made by the government in tackling counterfeiting. This study uses sociological juridical approach. The data used are primary data collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. This study suggests that (1) attempts to eradicate non-penal in tackling counterfeit money is done by an integrated education through pre-entiv to the public. This is done by installing billboards, pamphlets, and by conducting meetings in the districts of Padang and provide information regarding the counterfeit money. (2) The response of the community towards non penal efforts made by the government is very big on the circulation of counterfeit money, because of the counseling given beneficial results obtained and can be used as reference for the public to be more careful in accepting the money.
