The success of the development of a village is inseparable from the role of the village head as a leader in the village of Rawang, this is also a function of the village government itself, namely the function of development supervision. Problem Formulation 1) What is the role of the village head in supervising development in Rawang Village, Pariaman city? 2) What are the obstacles faced by the village head in supervising development in Rawang Village, Pariaman city? 3) What are the efforts of the Village Head in overcoming obstacles in supervising development in Rawang Village, Pariaman City? Types of Sociological legal research. Source of data is done by interview and document study. Data were analyzed in a qualitative way. Conclusions from the research 1) The role of the Village Head in supervising development in Rawang Village, Pariaman City is to develop village development, in carrying out the program there must be direct supervision carried out by the village head who has been given the authority to carry out his duties. 2) Obstacles that arise in supervising development there are obstacles or problems faced by the village head in supervising the management of the village development supervision program, namely the community is less aware of the existence of village funds that are obtained for development, due to the lack of socialization between the village government and the community. 3) the efforts made by the Village Head in overcoming these obstacles by conducting repeated deliberation.References
