Abstract

Advertising is a way to promote products, brands or services to consumers to encourage interest and sales. As an example of the case of Decision No. 233/Pdt.G/2011/PN.Jkt.Sel. Formulation of problems: (1) What is the form of advertising that is not in accordance with advertised product? (2) What are the legal consequences for advertisements that are not in accordance with the benefits of the advertised product? (3) What is the form of legal protection for victims of advertisements that are not in accordance with the advertised product. The type of research used is normative juridical; data sources come from secondary data consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials; data collection techniques with document studies; the collected data were analyzed qualitatively. The conclusions of the research: 1. The form of advertising that is not in accordance with the benefits of the advertised product is an advertisement for hair growth from PT.Hair Indopratama, it actually makes TR bald 2. The legal consequences of an advertisement that is not in accordance with the benefits of the advertised product, namely TR loses work as a model and suffer from severe baldness 3. The form of legal protection for victims of advertisements that are not in accordance with the benefits of the advertised product is the judge demanding that the defendant pay compensation and prohibiting selling the product and publishing advertisements for the product.
