ABSTRACT The development of global digitalization has given rise to problems regarding the vulnerability of internet users' personal data leakage, so the European Union Authority established a personal data protection regulation which was formulated into the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) Problem formulation 1) How is personal data protection according to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation 2) How is the Juridical Study on the Protection of Personal Data According to International Law. The research method is juridical sociological. Research Results: 1) Protection of personal data according to the European General Data Protection Regulation is that every person is sovereign over the protection of his personal data anywhere. 2) Personal data protection in Indonesia is still in the form of the Personal Data Protection Bill
