Abstract

ABSTRACT The minimum age to be allowed to work in Indonesia is 15 years. These children are recruited by potential employers from friends, relatives, or labor agents from remote areas or poor areas to become domestic workers in urban centers. Problem formulation: 1) How is the regulation of the working age limit according to the ILO convention No. 138? 2) How is the juridical study of the employment of minors based on the ILO convention No. 138 and its implementation in Indonesia? Types of normative juridical research. Primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques with document and library studies. Conclusions 1) the regulation of the employment age limit according to ILO convention No. 138, namely the minimum age limit that has been set is not less than the age of completion of compulsory education, i.e., it cannot be less than 15 years in any circumstances. 2) The implementation of child labor based on the ILO convention No. 138 has been implemented. Indonesia has adopted its substance and further regulates the minimum age to allow work in national regulations as mandated by the convention. 3) Statistics (BPS) reveal that the number of children in Indonesia
