KEWENANGAN KANTOR IMIGRASI KELAS I DALAM PENGAWASAN IZIN TINGGAL WARGA NEGARA ASING DI KOTA PEKANBARU

Immigration is a matter of traffic of people entering or leaving the Indonesian Territory and its supervision in order to maintain the upholding of state sovereignty. Every foreigner residing in the Indonesian Territory is required to have an Immigration Permit. The formulation of the problems that will be discussed in this study are: 1) What is the authority of the Pekanbaru Class I Immigration Office in law enforcement efforts against foreigners who abuse their residence permits in Pekanbaru City? 2) What are the obstacles faced by the head of the Pekanbaru City Immigration Office in abusing residence permits for foreigners in Pekanbaru? 3) What are the efforts made by the Head of the Pekanbaru City Immigration Office in overcoming the misuse of residence permits for foreigners in Pekanbaru City? This research is a sociological legal research using primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of document studies and interviews and then analyzed using qualitative analysis.References
